Well,
Let's hope for the best

Death Knights: *invincible and have god like reflexes*
Vermilion drop adamantite adventure : parry this you fücking casual *unloads heavy machine gun caliber on them*
me: when you fight a high leveled player with some basic parrying skills (σ≧▽≦)σ

Shuvi • 1 year ago

"basic parrying skills" as they "casually" deflect and parry hundreds of bullets from a machinegun. kekl

INCURSIO XD • 1 year ago

Is Vermillion drop a real player party like overlord?
Cz I don't think any humans have the capability to defeat death Knights so easily?

Wolf1412Heart • 1 year ago

No, Vermillion Drop is not an actual “Yaggdrasil player”. He was given equipment from the large treasure trove the Platinum Dragon Lord is guarding aka the dragon we saw in Season2 episode 1. Which sets up the upcoming fight between Ainz & Platinum Dragon Lord. The thing that buzzed off Shalltear back in season1 to make her turn on her armor.

Astera Lililuke • 1 year ago

DONT CLICK IF YOU DONT WANNA BE SPOILED its not really ainz who will fight the armor, it will be pandora's actor disguised as ainz. Told you dont click

Oh he finally fights

OfficialDrixMalone • 1 year ago

Oh ok, thanks for the info.

Kirito • 1 year ago

From the looks of it he's armor is like a Gundam and the way he used that hand sign looks like a sign of a player

sonofsun • 1 year ago

Bro you think those humans have invented snipers or machine guns?

ERIK LEROUGEUH • 1 year ago

since the lore is an isekai based on a mmojrpg ... its rather something like a gundam :p so at one point a player is involved.

Kirito • 1 year ago

I'm so excited if there's also a player besides ainz and was that the sister of albedo the girl that cuts her skin face really weird

WinterFrost • 1 year ago

It's Lakyus's uncle wearing a Yggdrasil item, different from PDL's avatar armor (The one that fought controlled Shalltear) but similar

DrClawizdead • 1 year ago

That is the armor from the PDL's treasure hoard.

Kirito • 1 year ago

That death knight can't be easily killed and when those death knight died ainz was like just I expected so that means he knows

Nikola Nikolov • 1 year ago

i think more than knowing he was luring out who ever was responsible for Shaltears status back in s1 in the open when it comes to Guild vs Guild battle Ainz is an expert for sure

Animan • 1 year ago

It's clearly Hajime Nagumo. He found his way from Arifureta, into this world via the Isekai Quartet world. :P

Albedio • 1 year ago

death knights are nothing compared to the floor guarddians.impossible to beat for those mundane people, but mere pawns to the elites of nazarick

nah man volume 15 was released on 29 of June and volume 16 on 30 of July there is no volume 17 there is however a side story about evileye as "what if kind of thing"
volume 15 has finished translation by fans on the 14th of august
volume 16 translation is still ongoing
TL;DR no season 5 anytime soon and tbh I am not even disappointed if anything I am kinda okay with it as is if there is any hope to get a good anime for overlord then it is the move and I still don't have high hopes adaptation was largely bad.

The supreme one • 1 year ago

Im really enjoying the anime tho.. besides the big ones like aot, bleach, demon slayer this is my most hyped anime

shadow • 1 year ago

man you need to try to read the LN you will find out that you missed a lot of what makes overlord great has been lost in the translation to anime I will highly recommend it if you enjoy it

Peff • 1 year ago

yeah, they could do better but at least there is no unfaithful fillers. Anime has been ok at it best so it is better than I ever hoped. It is like they make better animes from LNs than from mangas. Speaking of manga, Overlord is seriously one of the kind where manga is shit and anime is not.

shadow • 1 year ago

really? I never read the manga so I don't really know but I have read the LN and it is amazing I loved it all tho I started reading the LN after season 1 of the anime once I was up to date on anime it felt like the anime was none of interest to me all the flaws stuck out to me all the cut content and a lot of what makes overlord overlord for me has been thrown out for the adaptation so I just watch it just to refresh on the LN with out reading it again

Peff • 1 year ago

I agree with you, there is always something missing in anime. As for me I read mainly manga and consider anime inferior by default so manga being subpar is "shock". Overlord manga do better with character personas and in sense is better following original script but there is hicups for style and some early scenes looked like toned down. Latest chapters has been better and style is stable, but then high hindrance is slow release. They are doing goblins vs the first prince forces before Katze Plains showdown.

Frank Harris • 1 year ago

Vol. 15 has to be the worst vol in the whole series. I see a couple of movies in the future and that's it. I feel the author lost interest, sad because it had some cool ideas.

shadow • 1 year ago

idk if vol 15 is thew worst it is slow yes but it is understandable seeing that vol 15&16 were supposed to be a single vol but it turned out too think and they had to split them to two. I think something similar happened on the holy kingdom arc iirc tho I am not up todate on vol 15 (IU am in the middle of it) I can say it enjoyable it is more of the same ol same ol but Ainz has always been fun to follow

Considering Madhouse took this project it's kind of amazing, not to mention a first, for them to go through with a full adaptation of a work. Previously they only ever did 1-2 seasons as set up to help sell the original source of some work, and 2 seasons was already a rarity for Madhouse. That they went with Overlord for this unprecedented full adaptation is nothing short of a miracle, and while some iconic scenes were blemished by poor CGI, the adaptation overall is a big success.

Kirito • 1 year ago

I'm surprised that madhouse keeps making a season of this anime while the other anime they made doesn't have a season 2 like btoom that's one of my favorite anime

Alexander D. Montblanc • 1 year ago

It's just how it is, Overlord is actually a big worldwide success so maybe the money was too good. People used to speak of Madhouse as if they didn't care about the money, but I think that was just ignorance speaking, if they bankrupted the studio going all in on projects that have bigger investment than return then the studio ends up closing and that's it. If anything Madhouse was a money making machine with all the safe bets on good projects for a single season and occasionally some movies, which is the only explanation for how good their production value has been over the years since you need to afford the pay for quality talent. It's a real shame, but as good as all the other stuff they did was, I suppose they failed to actually make the break to justify further investment. People just forget that until quite recently only the Japanese market had any influence on which projects were commercial successes as the rest of the world wasn't pulling in any money in comparison, but manga, light novels and anime are now so popular in the West that companies are buying publishing rights for many of these projects, and that has increased the global value of the industry. So that's the way you can predict which Madhouse project will likely get further anime adaptations, by looking at which among those they produced/will produce that are selling well.

shadow • 1 year ago

I agree Madhouse taking on a full series is not the norm for them and I am glad they were the one who started it season1 is what got me into reading the LN for this story and many stories after and the we got season 2 and 3 back to back is nothing short of a miracle.
but the thing is I can't really judge if the anime is good or not because I know who it could have been and what it is missing and I can't really give a somewhat objective opinion because of that. all I have for the show is criticism for lost potential and negative feedback for how it should have been done and that is not the way to go about reviewing a show imo that is the double edge sword of reading the LN seeing the anime as a shitty version no mater what

Alexander D. Montblanc • 1 year ago

I always get that with anything adapted from written fiction, no screen adaptation ever compares to the original work, that's just how it is.

Emperor_Zell • 1 year ago

I have some faith in madman Naoyuki Itou and team

in English? I only see 14 volumes

Lord Of Pandemonium • 1 year ago

Lol agreed, Vol 15 tl in nonsense

Julian Fratzscher • 1 year ago

asanase • 1 year ago

Which volume chapter of LN is this episode?

Peff • 1 year ago

Volume 14, chapter 2.

shadow • 1 year ago

there is a change in the order from the LN to the anime 2 books were skipped so be carful of that if you want to get into the LN I will advice going to vol 1 it will refresh your view on the story and fill a lot of the missing content for the story

WM3 • 1 year ago

Had they not skipped a shit ton of content we'd most definitely have season 5

Michael Gutowski • 1 year ago

12 and 13 are being made into a movie and they always adapted 3 books into a single Season. Hence 1 to 9 being Seasons 1, 2, and 3. 10, 11, 14, is our season 4.

Beru • 1 year ago

why 12 and 13 are missing form this list?

桜島麻衣 • 1 year ago

read his comment again XD

Alexander D. Montblanc • 1 year ago

Yes, they deal with the Holy Kingdom arc, which will be a movie instead. The movie was already announced some weeks ago, but there's no trailer for it yet.

ihavenolife • 1 year ago

is it worth reading the LN for the content?

Talo Grim • 1 year ago

Honestly, yes. But you might as well start from chapter one.

Leon Ruggero R. Baños • 1 year ago

Momonga's bare emotions during the game server's last day was pretty heavy. Dunno why they didn't show that properly in the anime. Must be budget constraints. *shrug

FlowingWithTheFlow • 1 year ago

Old madhouse moment. Not expecting to make multiple seasons.

where does this episode take place in the LN
